Those sound like Hawaii airbnb prices, crazy. Not many backpackers there, I was also shocked. Too expensive. Anyway, the beginning of your trip sounds very promising. So very exciting.

Not as much as you would think. I’ve just arrived in Puerto Vallarta and an AirBNB for a month is around $1000, whereas you can rent a local place for about $200. And then AirBNB out the spare room … 😉
